  29. <h4>NT Performance Monitor</h4>
  30. <p>
  31. If you are running NT, you'll probably want to try out the  server's
  32. performance monitor support. There is a collector DLL for the web
  33. server so you can monitor its request rate and bytes/sec rate in the
  34. performance monitor.

  36. The counters get updated on transaction boundaries. They're designed
  37. to be used over periods of minutes or hours, not milliseconds.

  41. <h4>DBSample</h4>
  42. <p>
  43. The <i>Database CGI</i> example in Chapter 14 of
  44. <i>Building Your Own WebSite</i> is included in your WebSite
  45. installation.

  54. Under Windows NT, WebView will automatically refresh its information
  55. about local files when they change.  WebView does not automatically
  56. refresh imagemap information since that information is actually stored
  57. in the registry.  Use the View Refresh menu pick in that case.
  58. <p>
  59. Under Windows 95, nothing is automatically refreshed.  Use the View
  60. Refresh menu pick when the display is obsolete.

  76. WebIndex may have some performance or stability problems when indexing
  77. large collections of documents (say, greater than 90 megabytes).
  78. And on the positive side, there is a way to get WebIndex and WebFind
  79. to support multiple indexes on a single server.
